 Text:

   The tragedy happened in 1912, on its first trip across the Atlantic Ocean. The Titanic was travelling from Southampton to New York with 2201 people on board. Only 711 of them could be saved by the Carpathian a ship which was sailing some miles away, while 1940 people lost their lives in the accident.

   Too many people died because there were enough lifeboats for all them and the crew was not prepared for such a catastrophe, they thought that the ship was safe in any difficult condition and could not sink. And also many passengers were sleeping and were not dressed warmly enough to survive in the very cold waters of the Atlantic Ocean

   New safety measures were taken after this accident and now ships carry enough lifeboats, life vast and survival kits for all the people on board and the crew is well trained for emergency situations.

PART TWO (06 pts) Written expression

The editor of the school magazine wishes to publish some articles about the means of transport. You are really interested in this topic. Write an article about the means of transport you prefer

The following hints can help you:

- plane / boat / train …- cheap / expensive ….- confortable ………. – quick …….. – safe ………

Today the means of transport has changed considerably. The man, to travel and go the longest has an embarrassment of riches. Outside the car, bus, plane and boat are the means of transport most used for travel logs. For my part, I prefer the aircraft and boat. Why?

For the aircraft, first of all, despite the tickets which are expensive for international lines, it is the means of transport faster and more comfortable. And contrary to what some people think, the aircraft is the way to transport the safest, according to statistics of accidents in the world of transport, then travel by air, gives us a feeling of freedom and dominate the landscape, to admire the earth and its reliefs.

On the boat, it is also an interesting way to travel for several reasons. First, it is a means of transport cheap, secondly, travelling by boat can travel in contact with many people, to discover the other, to move, but especially to pass through the islands,  (in the case of a cruise)

A Monsieur le ministre de
la Solidarité nationale et de l’emploi,

Objet : Demande d’aide 

Monsieur le Ministre

J’ai l’honneur mais aussi la douleur de venir très respectueusement  vous exposer la situation dans laquelle évolue la santé de ma sœur handicapée motrice. 

Permettez-moi, Monsieur le Ministre, de porter à votre attention que ma soeur souffre d’un handicap héréditaire, puisque mon frère atteint de la même affection, en est décédé, en mars 2006, à l’âge de 26 ans.  Cette  maladie paralyse la personne par étapes et ce, jusqu’à la paralysie totale puis, inévitablement  la mort.  

Monsieur le Ministre,  

Eu égard à la gravité de cette pathologie et à notre situation sociale très précaire, seule une aide de l’Etat est à même d’assurer une prise en charge médicale à l’étranger de ma sœur et la sauver. 

Dans l’attente de votre réponse, que ma sœur espère positive et attend avec impatience, veuillez agréer Monsieur le ministre l’expression de mon profond respect.

Une bonne partie de la ville d’Amizour a été privée d’électricité pendant presque 48 heures. En effet, les quartiers de Taâzibt, les lotissements « Kalitous » et « Azemmour » ont connu un black-out qui aura duré du mardi de 10 au mercredi 11 juin, et les autorités locales ont, sans surprise, brillé par leur absence. 

 

Informés par les des habitants, les services de dépannage de
la Sonelgaz, arrivés sur les lieux ont constaté la défectuosité du transformateur dont dépend tout ce secteur. 

Il aura fallu attendre le lendemain pour que les employés de Sonelgaz tentent de rétablir le courant en remplaçant l’engin défectueux par un autre. Ce transformateur, d’une capacité moindre, n’a pu fonctionner qu’une vingtaine de minutes. 

 

Le problème persistant, les responsables de
la Sonelgaz, ayant appris que la commune disposait d’un transformateur d’une puissance supérieure, se sont rapprochés des  autorités municipales. D’après certaines informations, lorsque
la Sonelgaz  avait sollicité le P/APC pour mettre à la disposition  de la population privée d’électricité ce transformateur, un bien communal, celui-ci paressait surpris, ne comprenant pas par quel canal elle  avait appris l’existence de cet appareil. 

 

Dans tout, thawid, d-al masoulin nagh ar-adhitsroun anazgum. Maâna anazgum ansan dhayan – n – ittan…
